H. Kyle, 98, To Be Buried At Mt. Zion Friday Alfred H. Kyle, 98 year old resident of the Wheeling Community, died Wednesday at 11:40 p.m. in Baptist Hospital in Alexandria. He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services are scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday at Mt. Zion Methodist Church with the Rev. C. S. Durrand, Rev. T. A. Brown, and Rev. Grafton Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Atlanta Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Mr. Kyle, one of the oldest residents of this area, was born April 17, 1861, in Mississippi. His father was killed in the Civil War when A. H. Kyle was two yeas old, and he came back here with his family where his mother's people lived. Mr. Kyle was a farmer all his life, and had many memories, where he lived for over 95 years. His survivors include two daughters, Mrs. F. J. Neal of Montgomery, and Mrs. Lula Milligan of Brussels, Belgium; one son, L. E. Kyle, Sr., of Sulphur; 24 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and one half brother, Elzie Maddox of Montgomery.
