Cullen In Charge Funeral services for Oscar Kyson, 28 years old, who was killed when the two-door Chevrolet sedan, which he was driving turned over on the Marble Querry Road Saturday night, were held at Corinth Cemetery, Sunday afternoon, Rev. A.H. Cullen, pastor Winnfield Baptist Church, was in charge. According to reports, Oscar Kyson, his brother, Roy Kyson, and Sam Dunn, and Grandell Pruitt of Bentley were driving on the paved Marble Quarry Road and were in the vicinity of Mr. Varnell's residence. When a car started to pass them they speeded up their machine and moved to their side of the road. None of the occupants of the car seemed to know just how the accident occurred, but it is presumed that a wheel of the car got off the pavement, causing the car to turn over. The car was completely wrecked. Roy Kyson, brother of the one killed received severe cuts on one hand. The others were slightly injured. The deceased is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kyson, of Ward Nine, and Mrs. Jack Downhour of Shreveport; and four brothers, Wade, Troy, Roy, and Jack, all of Ward Nine.
