All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: February 11, 1943 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Joe Kyson Of Ward Nine Succumbs Feb. 7 Mrs. Joe Kyson, 68 year old resident of the Jordan Hill community in Ward 9, Winn Parish, died at her home Thursday, February 4, at 4 p.m. She had been ill three months. Funeral services were held at the Corinth Cemetery with Rev. H. H. McBride and Rev. R. T. Long in charge. Interment was made in the Corinth Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mrs. Kyson was born in Ward Nine, the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Spencer M. Smith. Before her marriage to Joe Kyson, she was Miss Martha Artie Smith. The deceased was a lifelong resident of this parish. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of Winnfield, Rt. 2; two daughters, Mrs. Jeff Wilder, Winnfield, Rt. 2, and Mrs. H. E. Downhours, Shreveport; four sons, Wade, Troy, and Roy Kyson, all of Winnfield, Rt. 2, and Jack Kyson of Dubach; two sisters, Mrs. Hatley Lowery and Mrs. Joe Long, Winnfield, Rt. 2; and one brother, Spence Smith, Dry Prong.
