Kyson Services for Troy J. Kyson, 71, of Winnfield were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Joseph Johnson and Dewitt Breithaupt officiating. Burial was in Corinth Tabernacle Cemetery. Mr. Kyson died Saturday, January 31, 1981 in Rapides General Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Winn Parish and a carpenter. He served as deputy sheriff for eight years and was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary D. Kyson of Winnfield; two sons, Troy A. Kyson of Winnfield and Gary Kyson of Birmingham, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Higgs of Pineville; two brothers, Wade Kyson of Georgetown and Jack Kyson of Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. Maude Downhour of Shreveport; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mike Higgs, Larry Higgs, Troy Kyson, Jimmy Carter, Scott Carter, and Randy Strickland.
