All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** >From the March 1, 1956 Winn Parish Enterprise-News American Funeral Services For Joe Kyson, 83, Held February 25 Funeral services for Joseph Kyson, 83, well known retired farmer and woodsman, who died at local hospital at 2 a.m. Feb. 24, were held at the Corinth Cemetery tabernacle Saturday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Louis B. Williams, Rev. Lisenbea, and Rev. Jack Melders officiating. Burial was in the Corinth Cemetery with the Masonic order in charge. Acting as pallbearers were grandsons, O. L. Wilder, Troy Kyson, Jr., Gene Kyson, and Doyle Kyson. The deceased was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church and of the Masonic Order. He was a native of Jackson Parish, but had lived most of his life in the Jordan Hill and Zion Communities. Surviving are four sons, Troy Kyson, Winnfield; Wade of Georgetown; Jack of Shreveport; and Roy of Jordan Hill; two daughters, Mrs. Jeff Wilder of Jordan Hill, and Mrs. Harry Downhour of Shreveport; 15 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Eva Gray of Torrance, Calif.
