J. C. Skinner officiating, assisted by Rev. R. H. Staples. Burial was in Couley Double Church Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield. Mrs. Kieffer died Tuesday, February 27, 1973 in a local hospital after a short illness. She was a retired school teacher and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Asa Martin of Winnfield, Miss Dora Kieffer of Terrell, Tex., Mrs. Jim Franks of Detroit, Tex., Mrs. Earl D. Elliott of Burleson, Tex., Mrs. Giles Caldwell of Nevada, Tex., and Floreen Butler of Mesquite, Tex.; two brothers, Bryan Kelley and Edwin Kelley, both of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Charlie Tilton of Winnfield; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Jim Russell, Newton Forrest, Dudley Shell, Ed Grigg, Reggie Dietzel, and Al Lauret.
