L. "Jack" Ladner, 74, a former resident of Winnfield died at his home Wednesday, January 6, in Ponchatoula as the result of a heart attack. He had been ill for the past four months. Mr. Ladner was a real estate dealer, having retired from Louisiana Cypress Lumber Company as Logging Superintendent. He was a member and Trustee of the First Baptist Church and services were conducted in the Thomas Funeral Home by Dr. A. Laurence Clegg, pastor. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Lou Smith Ladner; a daughter, Mrs. Mayo Faith of Mobile, Ala.; one grandson, Jim Faith of Mobile; two granddaughters, Mrs. Randall Sheridan of Ponchatoula, and Miss Jan Faith of Hattiesburg, Miss.; three brothers, four sisters, and a number of nieces and nephews. Attending the funeral from Winnfield were Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Smith and Miss Lowice Teddlie.
