He was a forest technician for Olin- Mathieson Chemical Co. Funeral services were held in the United Pentecostal Church of Montgomery at 2 p.m., Monday, with Reverends Ezel Parker, Marvin Guinn, and Joseph Hemphill officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery, Winn Parish. Lawson is survived by his wife, Ethel Brady Lawson; a daughter, Mrs. James Holbrook, Winnfield; a son, Melvin Lawson, Chatham; two sisters, Mrs. A. W. Pelton of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mrs. Berty Hawkins of New Cumberland, W. Va.; four brothers, Leonard Lawson of Tioga, Paul and Millard Lawson of Pineville and James Lawson of Montgomery, and three grandchildren.
