Funeral Rites For J. H. Lewis Held Wednesday

Funeral services for Jepsey Hamilton Lewis, 86, of Montgomery, were held at 3
p.m. today at the Montgomery First Baptist Church with Rev. J. O. Dumas, Roy
Moore, and Clarence Brooks officiating.  Masonic graveside rites were held at
Mars Hill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Lewis died in a local hospital Tuesday, February 20, 1973 after a short
illness.  He was a retired sawmill operator, a member of Montgomery Masonic
Lodge No. 168, and the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother, Charles E. Lewis of Montgomery; two sisters,
Mrs. Jodie Allen of Montgomery and Mrs. Francis Brady of Jena; and a number of
nieces and nephews.
