E. LaCroix Dies After Few Days Illness Funeral services for Billy Drewett LaCroix, young son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. LaCroix, and only grandson of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Drewett, of Winnfield, and Mr. and Mrs. I. B. LaCroix, Sr., of Pineville, were held at the First Baptist Church Sunday afternoon. The Rev. L. D. Posey, of Jena, had charge of the services and was assisted by the Rev. Ellis Smith, Meghodist minister, the Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian minister, and the Rev. F. W. Tinnin, of the Baptist Message, Shreveport. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. The beautiful floral offerings and the host of relatives and friends attested to the sympathy that was felt for the bereaved. Acting pallbearers were the uncles of the child. They were A. T. Drewett, Jr., Colvin Drewett, Drew LaCroix, and I. B. LaCroix, Jr. Besides the parents, grandparents, and uncles, Billy is survived by one aunt, Helen Mae Drewett, and two great grandmothers, Mrs. J. A. Drewett and Mrs. J. A. Colvin, Winnfield. Billy Drewett LaCroix was born May 2, 1930, and died February 18, 1933, after a few days illness. He was only 2 years, 9 months old, but was known by everyone by his friendliness and loveable traits. His unexpected death was a shock to the family and the community. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Drewett, Mrs. Everett Griffith and Mrs. Bootsie Herbert, Mansfield; Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Smith, Dubach; Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Drewett, Ruston; Mrs. G. E. Bozeman and son of El Paso, Tex.; George Mildred Bozeman of La. College, Pineville; T. H. Colvin, Miss Elizabeth Colvin, Henry Colvin, Miss Lou Lee, Mrs. Fred Schaedel, Mrs. Windon. Mr. and Mrs. Elisha Tannehill, Mr. and Mrs. Drew LaCroix, Mr. and Mrs. I. B. LaCroix, Sr., I. B. LaCroix, Jr., Mr. Oliver Lilly and Mrs. E. H. Bailey, Pineville; John Marion LaFleur, Opelousas; Mrs. C. R. Colvin and two children, and Mrs. Foster of Georgetown.
