All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: May 10, 1928 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Sam LaCroix Died At The Home Of Her Parents, Tuesday Night Mrs. Sam LaCroix, age 21 years, 8 months, and 13 days, died at the home of her parents here, Tuesday night, 10:20 o'clock, after a week's illness with a severe case of influenza. Mrs. LaCroix, before her marriage a month ago, was Miss Kathleen Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Long, Sr. She was born and reared in this city, was a graduate of the Winnfield High School and of the Louisiana State Normal College. The deceased is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Long, Sr.; four sisters, Mrs. Zelma Frazer, Miss Elizabeth Long, of Winnfield; Mrs. Aubrey Corbett and Mrs. Aubrey Scott, of Gilbert; two brothers, Charles and G. P., Jr. Funeral services were held this afternoon, 4:00 o'clock, at the First Methodist Church, Rev. C. C. Wier, pastor, assisted by Rev. A. H. Cullen, officiating. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends attended the last rites.
