M. LaCroix Held Near Jonesville Thurs. Claude Michael LaCroix, 72, died at his home here Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the family cemetery near Jonesville, with the Rev. John T. Walters of Ruston officiating. Pallbearers were Rev. H. B. McClure, A. A. McClure, Charles F. McClure, Elmas McClure, Hardy Smith, Jr., and Hubert Dowdy. Mr. LaCroix, a retired farmer, was a native of Catahoula Parish and came here to make his home about a year ago. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Jonesville. He leaves his wife of Winnfield, who was the former Miss Rosalie Hamilton of Jonesville; five sons and two daughters, Miss Marguerite LaCroix, Mrs. J. V. McClure, and Robert LaCroix of Winnfield; C. M. LaCroix, Jr., of Alexandria; John L. LaCroix of Jonesville; Sim T. LaCroix of Shreveport; Joe H. LaCroix of Trout; and eight children.
