Final Rites For Mrs. LaFollette Set For Friday

Mrs. Lucille Hemphill LaFollette, 53, of Joyce died in a local hospital at 7
p.m. December 19.  She had been in ill health for some time.

She was a native of Winn Parish, having been born near Georgetown and was a
member of the East Winnfield Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Old Union Baptist
Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The remains will be at
Hixson Brothers Funeral Home until time for the funeral.

Surviving are her husband, Sherman LaFollette, of Joyce; four sons, Charles,
Robert, William, and Grover, all of Joyce; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia
Hutchins, Greenville, Texas, and Mrs. Peggy Busby, of Joyce; three brothers,
Martin E. Hemphill of New Orleans of New Orleans, Harvey Lee Hemphill of 
Oakdale, and Shafter Hemphill of Joyce; three sisters, Mrs. Dottie Mae Piggot
of Ponchatoula, Mrs. Pricilla Weatherford of Joyce, and Mrs. Jewel Thompson of
New Orleans; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grover Hemphill of Joyce.  

She also leaves 12 grandchildren.
