Lang Succumbs Friday At Lofton Home Last Rites Were Conducted At Mars Hill Saturday Mrs. R. M. Lang, 64, died at her home at Lofton Friday night and was buried in the Mars Hill Cemetery Saturday afternoon. The near century old Mars Hill Church and the churchyard were crowded with hundreds of friends and relatives of the deceased, during the funeral services. The Rev. O. L. Hughes of Winnfield, pastor of the Mars Hill Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Lang had been a member for 52 years was assisted in the religious services by the Reverends H. B. Mercer of Pineville, J. M. Boyd of Verda, Baptist ministers, and the Reverend J. M. Jones of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Mrs. Lang lived her entire life in the community centering around the southern part of Winn parish. She was loved and honored by all who knew her, and raised a large family of highly respected children. Surviving members of her immediate family are her husband; five sons, Dudley D. Lang of Atlanta; O. R., R. B., and Otho Lang of Montgomery; and P. C. Lang of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. J. N. Fletcher, Colfax; and Mrs. Aaron Fletcher of Verda; a sister, Miss Lillie Chester, and a brother, Tom Chester, of Atlanta; and a number of children.
