M. Lang Funeral Services Held On Saturday At Mars Hill Final services for Mrs. R. M. Lang, 64, were held at Mars Hill Saturday afternoon following her death Friday night at her home in Lofton. Hundreds of friends and relatives of the deceased attended the final rites, paying tribute to one of the widely loved and honored women of Winn Parish. Mrs. Lang had lived her entire life in the community centering around the old Mars Hill Church, and had been a member of the church for 52 years. Officiating at the funeral was the Rev. O. L. Hughes of Winnfield, assisted by the Reverends H. B. Mercer of Pineville, J. M. Boyd of Verda, Baptist pastors, and the Rev. J. E. Jones, minister of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church. Surviving members of her immediate family are her husband; five sons, Dudley D. Lang of Atlanta, O. R., Otho, and R. B. Lang of Montgomery, and P. C. Lang of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. J. N. Fletcher, Colfax, and Mrs. Aaron Fletcher of Verda; a sister, Miss Lillie Chester and a brother, Tom Chester, of Atlanta, and a number of grandchildren.
