John B. Lasyone Is Buried At Iatt Saturday, June 6

Funeral services for John Bennett Lasyone, 82, who died June 4, in a Pineville
hospital, were held Saturday, June 6 at 2 p.m. at Iatt Baptist Church near
Verda.  The Rev. Henry Fox officiated, with burial following in the church
cemetery.

Mr. Lasyone was a retired farmer of Grant Parish.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Phil Lasyone of Baton Rouge; five
brothers, George and Bud Lasyone of Colfax, Reel and Alford Lasyone of Verda,
and Marshall Coolman of Montgomery; two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Corbett and
Mrs. Gracie Hattaway of Colfax, and two grandchildren.
