Lasyone Rites Held At Iatt Baptist Church

Funeral services for Arelius Lasyone, 76, of Verda, were held Saturday at the
Iatt Baptist Church with the Revs. Deloy Shows and Gerald Page officiating.

Burial was in Iatt Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Mr. Lasyone died Thursday, November 4, 1971 at Veterans Hospital, Alexandria,
after a long illness. 

A native of Verda, he was a retired farmer and a World War I veteran.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Oslar P. Lasyone of Verda; two sons, J. B.
Lasyone of Pineville and Jewell Lasyone of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs.
Arezlar Lashley of Atlanta and Mrs. Shirley Lambert of Houston, Texas; a
brother, Alfred Lasyone of Verda; a sister, Mrs. Georgian Corbitt of Verda; 14
grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
