Danny Keyes and E. B. Barton officiating. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mrs. Lashley died at 1 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 1977, in Dixon Memorial Hospital at Denham Springs after a lengthy illness. Survivors include three sons, Byron Lashley of Alexandria, Ronnie Lashley of Verda, and Marlin Lashley of Denham Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Karen Williams of Pineville; her mother, Mrs. Ella Spikes of Winnfield; three brothers, L. M. Spikes of West Monroe, C. O. Spikes of Atlanta and J. W. Spikes of Winnfield; seven sisters, Mrs. Lucille Box of Colfax, Mrs. Rolene McCartney, Mrs. Elaine Driggers, and Mrs. Billie Nelson, all of Pineville, Mrs. Llewelyn Gorham and Mrs. Linda Gilbert, both of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Loretta Jarnagin of Lafayette; and eight grandchildren.
