J. Lasyone, Local Plumber Rufus James Lasyone, 63, plumber in Winnfield for 15 years died at 10:30 Thursday morning as a result of a stroke. Funeral services will be Saturday in Winnfield. Arrangements are incomplete. Born and reared in Atlanta, La., Mr. Lasyone was employed by the Missouri Pacific Railroad before engaging in the plumbing trade. He had lived in Winnfield 17 years, was a member of the Baptist Church and the Woodmen of the World Lodge. His wife, Lucy Milstead Lasyone, whom he married in 1905 at Trout, La., survives. He also leaves five daughters, Mrs. Gladys Eagles and Lucille Lasyone, Winnfield; Mrs. Lena Looper, Williana, La.; Mrs. Irene Whatley, Picayune, Miss.; and Miss Beulah Lasyone, New Orleans, La.; and one son, Willie W. Lasyone, Winnfield; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Keith of Verda and Mrs. Gus Lashley of Verda, and nine grandchildren.
