O. Lattier Here January 14 Final rites for Francis Oscar Lattier, 69, who died in a Winnfield hospital January 13, after a long illness, were held at the First Methodist Church Saturday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. L. L. Booth, officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were John Bassett, Claude Paul, Charlie Smith, Dudley Shell, Jim Russell, Jr., and J. W. Woodard. Honorary pallbearers were B. W. Bailey and members of Mr. Lattier's Sunday School class. A native of Natchitoches, Mr. Lattier was the son of the late Rev. and Mrs. F. R. Lattier. He was married to Miss Lula Mixon of the Calvin community February 26, 1911, and the spent most of their married life in Winnfield. A barber for 42 years, Mr. Lattier had been owner of the City Barber Shop for the past 25 years. He was active in the work of the First Methodist Church and was a member of the Board of Stewards. He was also active in the barbers union. Survivors are his widow; a son, F. O. Lattier, Jr., Raleigh, N. C.; six daughters, Mrs. Troy Smith, Winnfield; Mrs. S. H. Frickie and Mrs. L. C. Shows, Jonesboro; Mrs. Arlin Bice, Natchitoches; Mrs. W. E. Davis, Lake Charles; and Mrs. James P. Coats, Longview, Texas; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. A. L. Childers, Winnfield; Mrs. T. C. Warner, Montgomery; Mrs. Ellen Williamson, Mansfield; Mrs. Mary A. Clark, Shreveport; one brother, J. H. Lattier, Shreveport.
