M. F. Lawrence, 78, Succumbs; Rites Held Fri.

Milford F. "Dad" Lawrence, Sr., 78, of Winnfield, died Thursday, May 27, 1971
after a short illness.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter
Day Saints and was the oldest member of the Winnfield Lodge, Woodmen of the
World.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Lawrence of Winnfield; three sons,
Milford Lawrence, Jr., Fred L. Lawrence, both of Winnfield, and Bobby Lawrence
of Spearsville; two daughters, Mrs. J. B. Johns of Minden and Mrs. Robert J.
Sanders of Monroe, and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Southern with
Elder Marlin Connor assisted by Elder Gilbert Connor, officiating.  Conducting
graveside rites in Winnfield City Cemetery was Bishop Loy Gaar.
