Mrs. M. Lawrence Dies In Bastrop Hospital Nov. 22

Mrs. R. R. Gates of Joyce was called to the bedside of her sister, Mrs.
Mildred Lawrence who suffered a stroke and later died in the Bastrop General
Hospital.

Mrs. Lawrence died Sunday afternoon, November 22, as the age of 78.  She had
been living in Winnfield until a few months ago when she moved to Bastrop,
where she was residing with her son.

Burial was in the home cemetery near Rayville with Rev. Moore of Pine Grove
Baptist Church officiating.

Survivors include a son, C. M. Lawrence of Bastrop, a daughter, Mrs. Marie
Black of Bakersfield, Calif.; four sisters, Mrs. Ella Gates and Mrs. Alice
Gates of Sikes, Mrs. R. R. Gates of Joyce, and Mrs. Emma Jordan of Dodson.
