Last Rites Held For Mrs. Lawrence Near Sikes July 20

Mrs. W. R. Lawrence, age 49, died at the home of her son, Coy Lawrence, near
Sikes, on July 19, after a long illness.  Funeral services were held at
Hurricane Grove July 20 with the Rev. Joe Adams in charge.  Interment was made
in Hurricane Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Crosby Adams, Elzie Adams, S. M. Gregory, Sam Hubbard, Harvey
McCarty, and Wayne Crain.

Mrs. Lawrence, who before her marriage was Miss Benie Sanders, was born on
Sepbember 25, 1891 in Winn Parish.  She was a member of the Union Grove
Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband; four sons, Coy Lawrence, Troy Lawrence, Elzie
Lawrence, and Jack Lawrence, all of Sikes; two daughters, Mrs. Della McCarty,
Sikes, and Mrs. Euna V. Wilson, Winnfield.  She also leaves a number of
brothers and sisters.
