Last Rites For Former Winn Man Held At Starks

Funeral services for John Edmund Lawrence, 77, were held Saturday, October 4,
1947, at 2:30 p.m. in the Starks Cemetery with Rev. George E. Roberts, Jr., of
Alexandria officiating.

Mr. Lawrence died Friday, October 3, at 11:30 a.m. in a Pineville hospital. 
He was born in Winn Parish, but for the past 15 years had resided near
Cottonport.  He is survived by one brother, Oscar Lawrence, of Georgetown, and
two sisters, Mrs. George McQuiston of Shreveport and Mrs. Pearl O'Neal of
Houston, Texas.
