Last Rites For Mrs. N. Lawrence Held At New Hope


Mrs. Nila Lawrence, 71, died at her home in the Hudson Community Sunday night
following a heart attack.  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in
the New Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Mr. Buchanan and Mr. E. T. Brazzell
officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern
Funeral Home.

Acting as pallbearers were C. W. Graham, F. E. McKenzie, H. McGuire, Hurl
Johns, and Osbie Young.

A native of Dodson, Mrs. Lawrence was the widow of the late John Lawrence. 
She was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. H. McGuire and Mrs. C. W. Graham of
Winnfield; Mrs. Lavelle Bustin, Dodson; Mrs. E. E. McKenzie, Monroe; Mrs. Hurl
Johns, Monroe; two sons, Neal and Aubrey Lawrence of Americus, Ga.; one
brother, Robert Young of Monroe.  She also leaves 13 grandchildren and seven
great grandchildren.
