All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 18, 1946 Winn Parish Enterprise Troy Lawrence, Lineman, Dies From Burns Burns received by Troy Lawrence, 22, lineman for the Arkansas Power & Light Co., El Dorado, Ark., proved fatal to him July 11, when he succumbed at the Warner Brown Hospital, El Dorado. Lawrence was seriously burned Tuesday of last week when he became entangled with a high voltage wire while working near the El Dorado plant. Funeral services with military rites were conducted July 13 at the Hurricane Grove Church with interment in the Hurricane Grove Cemetery. A native of Sikes, Lawrence was a member of the V. F. W. and the American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gladys Lawrence of El Dorado; father, W. R. Lawrence, Sikes; three brothers, Coy Lawrence, Sikes; Elzie and J. L. of West Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Curtis Wilson, Winnfield.
