L. D. McConathy Dies; Rites At Zion Church

Lonnie D. McConathy, 72, of Winnfield, died Wednesday, February 28, 1973 at
his residence.

Mr. McConathy was a native of Grant Parish and a member of New Jerusalem
Baptist Church and a retired employee of Carey Salt Company.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday in Zion Baptist Church with Rev.
Bert Beams officiating.  Burial was in Zion Cemetery under direction of
Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lonnie McConathy, three sons, Bobby Joe
McConathy of Shreveport, Shepard A. McConathy of Houston, and Jack McConathy
of Winnfield; one daughter, Mrs. Dorene Berry of Winnfield; one brother, Joe
E. McConathy of Lake Charles; one sister, Mrs. Ella Morris of Georgetown; and
11 grandchildren.
