Mother Of Winn Resident Dies In West Monroe

Mrs. Doshie Boyette Lenard, 82, of 906 Jonesboro Road, West Monroe, died
Thursday, September 30, 1971 in St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the United Pentecostal
Church in West Monroe.  Interment was in Garden of Memories Cemetery near West
Monroe.

Survivors include three sons, James E. Lenard of Winnfield, Lloyd Lenard of
Shreveport, Carl E. Lenard of West Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. Resie
Fontenot, Mrs. Eva Wilhite, both of West Monroe, Mrs. Ella L. Hovey of
Beaumont, Tex., and Lt. Col. Esther Lenard Bowman of Alexandria; a brother,
Francis R. Boyett of Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Spencer of
Winnfield and Mrs. Bettye Hughes of Taylor, Ark.; 15 grandchildren, 13 great
grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
