Lestage, 70, of Montgomery, died Monday, November 8, 1976 in Natchitoches Parish Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Natchitoches Parish, Mrs. Lestage had lived most of her life in Winn Parish. In later years she moved to Grant Parish. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Father Goins officiating. Burial was in the St. Maurice Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Survivors include for sons, Gilmer Lestage, Jr., of Montgomery, Frank Lestage of Orange, Texas, Weyman Lestage of Winnsboro, Texas, and Nathan Lestage of Pittsburg, Texas; two daughters, Opal Knight and Mrs. Eula Moore both of Montgomery; four brothers, Louis Gongre of Orange, Texas, Roy Gongre of Natchitoches, Keator Gongre and Woody Gongre both of Montgomery; one sister, Mrs. Elma Sutton of Bossier City; 27 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Pallbearers included Wayne Knight, Randy Skains, Ronnie Lestage, Harrison Lestage, Harrison Lestage, Anthony Lestage, and James Lestage.
