Last Rites Are Held For Mitchell Frederick Lestage

Mitchell Frederick Lestage, age 85 years, died Saturday, August 19, 1939 at
his home in St. Maurice.  He had been in ill health for the past ten years and
had suffered six strokes.

Born in Natchitoches Parish, he lived most of his life there, residing in Winn
only during the past fourteen years.

Surviving are his wife, five daughters and three sons.  He also leaves 26
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  The daughters are Mrs. Era (Eva?)
Futrell, St. Maurice, La., Mrs. M. C. Nealey, Montgomery, La., Mrs. Walter
Gongre, Winnfield; Mrs. A. Lacour and Mrs. A. E. Stroud, Natchitoches. 
Surviving sons are Gilmer and Harrison, St. Maurice and Samuel of
Natchitoches.

Funeral services were held at Father Aycock's Church at Natchitoches.
