Lewis, 45, Succumbs; Burial Jan. 13 George A. Lewis, 45, died Monday, January 11 in the Veterans Administration Hospital, Pineville, after a brief illness. He was a state highway employee and a resident of the Montgomery area. Funeral services were scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Union Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Lewis is survived by a son, Billy C. Lewis, of Montgomery; a stepson, James Neal, two stepdaughters, Barbara Ann Neal and Mrs. Rosie Mae Bolton, all of Shreveport; five brothers, H. A. Lewis of Verda, James Lewis of Natchitoches, William Lewis of Pollock, Willard Lewis of Montgomery, and Buddy Lewis of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. T. H. Silman of Montgomery, Mrs. C. K. Allen of New Iberia, and Mrs. Jean Williams of Charleston, S. C.; and his mother, Mrs. G. A. Lewis, Sr., of Montgomery.
