All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: May 11, 1944 Winn Parish Enterprise Resident of Gansville Drowns In Dugdemonia Funeral services for Jewel Lyles, about 40, who drowned in Dugdemonia, Jackon Parish, last Friday, were held at the Gansville Church Wednesday at 11 a.m. Mr. Liles had been in ill health for some time, and when missed Friday, his hat was found on the bank of the creek. A search was begun immediately but the body was not recovered until Sunday afternoon. It was reported that he had jumped into the back water form the creek and his body was found under a log and bushes. A native of Gansville community, the deceased is survived by his wife and five children and his mother, all of Gansville.
