She was a resident of Calvin. She is survived by a son, Boother Maxey of Columbia, S. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Mayo of West Monroe and Mrs. Pearl Shelton of Calvin; two brothers, E. K. Carter and Robert Carter, both of Calvin; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Quarles of Calvin and Mrs. Willie Rhymes of Winnfield; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Calvin Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Smith and Herman Free officiating. Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Pallbearers were James F. Maxey, John Maxey, Jr., _____ Mayo, Maxey Mayo, Jack Shelton, and Joe Ed Shelton.
