Lomax Dies Here At His Sister's Home John C. Lomax, 84, retired farmer of Lincoln Parish, died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Etta Davidson, in Winnfield, Thursday, August 10. He had made his home here for the past three years, coming here because of ill health. Last rites were conducted at the Walnut Creek Baptist Church, Simsboro, La., at 10 a.m. Friday, with the pastor of Simsboro Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Etta Davidson, and one niece, Mrs. Esther Lomax, Winnfield; one nephew, John A. Davidson, of Simmesport, La., and four great nieces. Mr. Lomax had resided in Lincoln Parish 56 years before coming to Winnfield.
