Long At Corinth Tuesday Funeral services were held at the Corinth Tabernacle for Joe E. Long, 77, who died at his home near the Jordan Hill Community at 3 a.m. Monday following a long illness. Rites were conducted by the Rev. L. G. Mabry and interment was in the Corinth Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Born in Ouachita Parish February 11, 1874, Mr. Long had lived in Winn Parish since childhood and had been a blacksmith, repairman, and farmer until illness forced his retirement. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church near Jordan Hill. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Long, Route 2, Winnfield; four sons, Lee Long, Earl Long, and Reginald Long, all of Winnfield, and E. I. Long of Henderson, Texas; two brothers, Mike Long of Prince, Texas and Henry K. Long of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Roxie Dawson of Winnfield and nine grandchildren.
