All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 16, 1955 Winn Parish Enterprise Last Rites For Mrs. Fannie Boyd Long June 14 Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Boyd Long, 61, of near Winnfield, who died at her home Sunday following a long illness, were held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis B. Williams officiating. Assisting was the Rev. E. B. Barton. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers were J. C. Boyd, Felix Boyd, Floyd Smith, Jr., C. J. Shirley, Jr., Norris Long, and Beverley Cole. A native of Winn Parish, Mrs. Long was a life-long resident of the Central Louisiana area. Survivors include her husband, William M. Long of near Winnfield; a son, Huey P. Long of Houston, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Floyd Smith and Mrs. Doyle Thomas, both of Winnfield; Mrs. A. J. Wright of Eola, and Mrs. Raymond Brewer of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Mary Shirley of Coushatta; a brother, P. P. Boyd of Rodessa; seven grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
