J. J. Young and the Rev. Charlie Christie officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mrs. Long died Thursday, June 27, at her home after a lengthy illness. Survivors include her husband, Oscar Long; two sons, Willie O. and James A. Long, both of Winnfield; four daughters, Mrs. D. O. Pray, Miss Priscilla Long, Miss Carlet Sue Long, all of Winnfield, and Miss Mary Long of Fort Worth, Texas; three brothers, Lee Barrett of Oak Grove, Lavelle Barrett of New York City, Willie Barrett of Chicago, Illinois, and one half brother, Ralph Ainsworth of Detroit, Michigan; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Sullivan of Washington, D. C.; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were Victor Brinkley, Ross Sport, John Poisso, Butch Pray, Gary Wilson, J. C. Wright, Aaron Jernigan, and Martin Bozeman. Honorary pallbearers were Felix Long, Parker Long, Jim Long, and Morris Long.
