R. Long Held Here June 25th Reuben R. "Little Brother" Long, 65, retired city of Winnfield employee, died Friday morning, June 24, 1966, of a heart attack while picking berries in a wooded area near his home in Winnfield. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield with Dr. W. L. Holcomb and Rev. W. R. Gage officiating. Burial was in the Zion Hill Cemetery near Tannehill under direction of Southern Funeral Home. He was a native of Winn parish and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Ruby Smith Long of Winnfield; seven sons, James W., C. R. (Cotton), Gerald and Carroll, all of Winnfield, Jimmy and Bill of Natchitoches, Donald of Lafayette; three sisters, Mrs. Maude L. Machen and Mrs. Myrtle Carter of Winnfield, and Mrs. Gustine L. Bowen of Kilgore, Texas, and 14 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Clem Huffman, Glenn Smith, Perry Joe Smith, James Hardy Smith, Bennie Smith, and Clyde Smith, Jr.
