Mrs. R. T. Long, 70, of Corinth, Dies on Thursday


Mrs. R. T. Long, 70, died at her home in the Corinth Community near here this
morning, and the funeral is tentatively scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday at the
Corinth Church with Rev. H. H. McBride, pastor of the First Baptist Church of
Winnfield, officiating.

The deceased was born in Mississippi and reared in Winn Parish.  She was the
wife of Rev. R. T. Long of Corinth, and was a member of the Corinth Baptist
Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Ethel
Whittington, Mrs. Tom Yarrick, and Mrs. J. W. Bassett of Winnfield; Mrs. C. E.
Sheppard of Delhi and Mrs. George Williams and Mrs. W. W. Melton, Georgetown,
La.; two sisters, Mrs. D. S. Johnson, and Mrs. Joe Jones, of Monroe, and 11
grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Woodrow Melton, Tommy Yarrick, C. E. Sheppard, George
Williams, John Bassett, and Earl E. Long.
