Long Buried Oct. 14 At Corinth Cemetery Mrs. Joe E. Long, 57, lifelong resident of the Corinth community, succumbed of a heart attack at her home Friday night. Last rites were conducted Sunday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m. at the Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. L. G. Mabry officiating. He was assisted by the pastor, Rev. George Foster. Burial was in the Corinth Tabernacle cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Roy Kyson, Troy Kyson, Clay Smith, Otis Smith, Marion Smith, and J. C. Harper. Before her marriage Mrs. Long was Miss Sarah Alice Smith, daughter of the late Dr. And Mrs. Spencer Smith, pioneer residetns of Winn Parish. She was a member of the Jordan Hill Pentecostal Church. Surviving are four sons, Lee F. Long, Earl E. Long, and W. R. Long, all of Rt. 2, Winnfield, E. L. Long of Henderson, Texas; nine grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. J. H. Lowery, Rt. 2, Winnfield.
