R. Looper Here Wednesday Funeral Services at Bentley With Interment at Dry Prong Mrs. Georgia Anna Franklin Looper, 66 years of age, wife of S. R. Looper, died at the home of her daughter and son in law, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Walker, Wednesday night, February 17, 1937, at 12:45, following an illness of about a week's duration. Although she had suffered a paralytic stroke five years ago, she had only been confined to her bed a short while before her death. Funeral services were conducted at the Bentley Baptist Church Thursday at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. B. C. Land, pastor Winnfield Baptist Church, Rev. Alwin Stokes, pastor Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. DeVane, pastor Pineville Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in the Dry Prong Cemetery under the direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mrs. Looper was born in Clark County, Arkansas, 66 years ago. She joined the Baptist Church at an early age and lived a consecrated life. Fifty one years ago she was married to S. R. Looper in Scott County, Ark. Death came to her on her fifty first wedding anniversary. In 1906 Mr. and Mrs. Looper moved to Bentley, La., where they resided a number of years. They were both charter members of the Bentley Baptist Church which they helped organize 31 years ago. About twelve years ago they resided in Winnfield for a period of three years and then returned to Bentley. A year and 6 months ago they returned here to live with their daughter, Mrs. J. F. Walker, and family. Surviving the deceased are her husband, S. R. Looper; two daughters, Mrs. J. F. Walker, Winnfield, and Miss Elsie Looper, Bentley; two sons, Jim Looper and S. W. Looper of Bentley; three brothers, Ben Franklin of Oklahoma, Robert Franklin of Arkansas, and Dawson Franklin of Pineville; and one sister, Mrs. Lillie Hart of Bentley. Mrs. Looper was also a sister of the late Mrs. W. H. Jordan of Winnfield.
