All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: June 20, 1957 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Final Rites For Mrs. Mary Alice Lovell, June 17 Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alice Lovell, 67, of Winnfield, who died in an Alexandria hospital at 5 a.m. Sunday, were held at the First Methodist Church, Winnfield, at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17. The pastor, Rev. Luther Booth, officiated. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Bentley with Southern Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were R. G. Hart, Olony White, Esmond Kent, James Russell, Hiram Wright, Newton Forrest, Glyn Guin, and Arvil Hammond. A native of Grant Parish, Mrs. Lovell had been a resident of Winnfield for many years. She was a member of the First Methodist church. Survivors include a son, J. F. Lovell, Jr., of Winnfield; four daughters, Mrs. Jewell Maxey, Mrs. E. H. Farr, and Mrs. J. D. Holmes, Jr., all of Winnfield, and Mrs. J. F. Messer of Leesville; two brothers, Henry and Barney Lewis, both of Bentley; six sisters, Mrs. Neva Pruett of Bentley, Mrs. I. O. Hammond of Colfax, Mrs. R. G. Hart of West Monroe, Mrs. Ralph Wheat of Jonesboro, Mrs. Lawrence Quimby of Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Wright Melton of Winnfield and nine grandchildren.
