Lovett, 86, of Monroe, died early Sunday, June 28, 1970 in the Winnfield General Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Lovett was a native of Claiborne Parish and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Doyle Lovett of Savannah, Ga.; Virgil Lovett of Bolder Cliff, Calif., and Elmer Lovett of Compton, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. F. Y. Ashford of Blanchard, Mrs. A. Futrell of Watson, Ark., Mrs. B. H. Fulghum of Metairie, and Mrs. J. R. Carter of Atlanta; one brother, Tom Oakes of Minden; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Atlanta Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Teal officiating. Burial was in the Mars Hill Cemetery, near Atlanta, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.
