John F. Lovell, Sr., Buried In Grant Parish July 28th

Funeral services for John F. Lovell, Sr., 75, of Winnfield were held at 3 p.m.
Wednesday, July 28, 1965 in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield
with Dr. W. L. Holcomb officiating.  

Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery near Bentley in Grant Parish, under direction
of Southern.

Lovell was a native of Oak Grove Community in Grant Parish and was a member of
Hurricane Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linnie Lovell of Winnfield; a son, J. F. Lovell,
Jr., of Winnfield; four daughters, Vera Lovell Maxey, Verlon Lovell Holmes,
and Claudell Lovell Farr, all of Winnfield, and Willie V. Lovell Messer of
Kileen, Texas; a brother, O. W. Lovell of Port Arthur, Texas; three sisters,
Ella Lovell Head of Georgetown, Irene Lovell Jones of Montgomery, and Johnnie
Lovell James of the Oak Grove Community, Grant Parish; nine grandchildren and
two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Wesley Cockerham, __________, Delton Weeks, Murphy Worsham,
W. E. Higgs, and Jack Henderson.
