All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: August 12, 1943 Winn Parish Enterprise Mrs. Archie Lovell, 16, Succumbs To Illness Monday Mrs. Archie Lovell, nee Eva Lee McManus, 16 year old bride of two months, died at a Shreveport hospital Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock after an undetermined illness of several weeks. He remains were returned to her home on Route Two, Atlanta, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock and final funeral arrangements await the arrival of her husband, who was inducted into service July 15, and stationed in the U. S. Navy at Norfolk, Va. Rev. T. T. Edwards, Baptist minister of Atlanta, will conduct the services which will be held at the Mars Hill church and interment will be made in the Mars Hill Cemetery. The deceased is survived by her husband; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. P. McManus of Mars Hill; six brothers, Debs McManus of Goose Creek, Texas; James McManus of Ashland, La.; Grant McManus who is serving in the U. S. Army somewhere in the Pacific; G. P. McManus, jr., of the U. S. Navy, San Diego, Calif.; Ocie Lee (Acie Lee?) and Henry D. McManus of Mars Hill; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Hendrix of Oakdale, La., and Ms. Ben Thour of Houston, Texas; four uncles, L. L. McManus, S. L. McManus, W. T. McManus, all of Mars Hill, and Vinson McManus, of Port Arthur, Texas; three aunts, Mrs. D. Lovett, Mrs. Jim Johnson, of New Verda, La., and Mrs. Massey Heard of Delhi, La.
