Funeral services were scheduled at East Winnfield Baptist Church today, Thursday, at 3:30 p.m. Rev. Turner Davis, pastor of the East Winnfield Church, was to officiate, with Rev. George H. Foster, assisting. Mrs. Lovell, wife of John H. Lovell, had lived at Joyce for about 30 years. She was born in Pineville, September 13, 1895. Burial was to be in McCartney Cemetery, under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Survivors are her husband, two sons, H. T. Lovell of Joyce, J. T. Lovell, with the U. S. Marine Corps in Norfolk, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Sumner of Bastrop; and Miss Ina Jean Lovell, of New Orleans; six grandchildren, four brothers, Frank Mercer, Buren Mercer, Lee Mercer, and Leonard Mercer, all of Alexandria; four sisters, Mrs. Elijah Keyes, Mrs. Oscar Rush, Mrs. Rudolph Wilson, Mrs. J. L. McCann, all of Alexandria; and her mother, Mrs. J. J. Mercer of Alexandria.
