Lowery Dies of Injuries Due to Accident David Roynald Lowery, 24, of Winnfield, died at 10:35 a.m. Saturday, August 19, 1972 in a hospital in Alexandria, as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident earlier last week. He was a native of Winnfield and an employee of the Olinkraft plywood plant there. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Connie Burch Lowery; two daughters, Leslie Lynn Lowery and Lessie Leigh Lowery, all of Winnfield; two brothers, Buddy Lowery of Dodson and Roger Lowery of Fort Worth, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Veo Carpenter of Dodson; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Odell Lowery of Dodson. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday in Welcome Home Baptist Church, Hudson, with Revs. Willie Broadway, E. B. Barton, J. D. Enterkin, and James Gorham officiating. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery near Joyce under the direction of Hixson Brothers of Winnfield. Pallbearers were John T. Porter, Don Carroll, Gary I. Bates, Gary D. Hemphill, Kenneth W. Jordan, and Jerry W. Smiley.
