Lowe Funeral Is Held Monday At Calvin Funeral services were held for George W. Lowe at the Calvin Baptist Church Monday, November 3 at 2:30 p.m. Mr. Lowe, well known Winn Parish farmer and cattleman, died at General Hospital Sunday, November 2, after an illness of 3 « weeks. He was 78 years of age. Officiating at the funeral were Rev. Ed Smith and Rev. W. C. Hall. Burial followed in the Teagle Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Mr. Lowe was born in Bienville in 1880 and had lived in Winn Parish for 70 years. He was a member of the Calvin Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Hershel Robert Lowe of Calvin and G. W. Lowe, Jr., of Memphis; one daugher, Mrs. C. D. Mathews of Fort Worth, Texas; and one brother, Daniel Lowe of Verda and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were Leon Carpenter, Cecil Summers, Everett Thurmond, Leon Low, Frank Carpenter, Webb Hodges, J. W. Maxey, and G. H. Walker.
