James Lowery, 66, Dies at Home Near Winnfield, Monday

James Andrew Lowery, 66, died at his home near Winnfield, Monday, January 6.

He was born in Italia County, Miss., in 1864 and came with his parents to
Louisiana in 1866. He is survived by his wife and three children, Hatley
Lowery, Mrs. Minnie Bevill, and Mrs. Zelia Sanders, all of Winnfield, one
brother, H. J. Lowery, Winnfield, two sisters, Ms. Hazeltine Warner,
Winnsboro, and Mrs. Anzelina Frank, Winnfield.

He was a consecrated member of the Athens Baptist Church, which he was
instrumental in founding many years ago.

Interment was made in the Teagle Cemetery by Rev. A. H. Cullen.
