Mrs. N. Lowery Dies; Rites Held At Old Union

Mrs. Nancy Jane Lowery, 81, died Monday, April 24, 1967 in a local nursing
home after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Old Union Baptist
Church near Joyce with the Rev. D. W. McDaniel officiating, assisted by the
Rev. John Holt and the Rev. W. A. Wimbs.

Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral
Home.

Survivors are four sons, Robert A. Lowery and Lawrence L. Lowery, both of
Winnfield, Odell B. Lowery and Morgan B. Lowery, both of Dodson; four
daughters, Mrs. Ida Gorham, Mrs. Bettie Whisenant, and Mrs. Alene Sanders, of
Winnfield, and Mrs. Lucille Vines of Dodson; two brothers, J. T. Hunter of El
Campo, Texas and Leonard Hunter of Jonesboro; a sister, Mrs. Callie Gorham of
Winnfield; 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John Lowery, Roy Sanders, Michael Lowery, James Lowery, Bobby
Vines, and Buddy Lowery.
